What we do

We facilitate the smooth transition of homeless individuals into comfortable and safe housing, both on and off reserve.

We also utilize a holistic approach to provide community resources based on the physical, mental, spiritual and emotional needs of each client.

We Find & Fund

We secure one (or more) Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with several community partners in the GTA to help develop our presence in the Toronto housing community.

We Educate

We educate the community and provide the necessary resources ensuring accessibility to affordable, safe and stable housing.

We Provide

We provide accurate and detailed client assessments for all BIPOC clients.

We Consult

We take time to understand individual needs. We also dedicate time to go out in the community personally to make an effort in listening to them so we can get to know each individual’s needs, goals and personal checklist of daily activities and tasks.

We Build

Our organization will work on building and strengthening the relationships with landlords and realtors that currently have rental properties available in order to find safe and affordable housing for our clients.

We Strengthen

We assist in improving other areas of their lives such as health, work and education.

Types of Support

Landlord support & Mediation

We see the need to offer culturally appropriate customized services that are lean and designed to take quick and personalized action.

Housing Stabilization

When individuals have access to permanent and stable housing, with the support needed to stay housed, this results in an increased likelihood of overcoming other challenges such as mental illness, substance abuse, domestic abuse, health challenges and others.

Eviction Prevention

Indigenous people are greatly overrepresented in the homeless population: the percentage of homeless Indigenous people is over six times their percentage of the population in general

IMPACT

Our processes will be efficient and focused on client work.
